How to Export myBillBook Data to Tally


Exporting data from myBillBook to Tally is simple and can be done in just a few steps.

Step 1: To get started, open the myBillBook app and go to the dashboard. Click “More” and select “Business & GST Settings” from there.

 

Step 2: In the new window, you will see an option for “Data Export to Tally“. Click on “Continue” to begin the process. You can click on “Watch how to export to Tally” for a tutorial if you need guidance on the export process.


Step 3: On the data export page, you will need to select the date range to export the data. You can use the filters available to narrow down the data as needed.

Step 4: Next, you have to fill in your email address. You can then go on to add your CA’s email ID. However, this is optional.

Step 5: Next, you will need to enter your email address. You can also add your CA’s email address, although this is optional.

Step 6: Once you have entered your email information, click “Export“. You will then view a message on the screen stating that the export is in progress. You will receive an email with the exported data in an XML format within 4-5 working hours.

Step 7: Finally, click “Done” to complete the process. These simple steps allow you to export your myBillBook data to Tally easily.

Data That You Can Transfer From myBillBook

  1. Parties: Information about the people or companies you work with, such as their contact details and billing information
  2. Items: Information about the products or services you sell or purchase, such as their names, descriptions, and prices
  3. Sales (product items): Information about sales of product items, including the quantities sold, the prices paid, and the sales dates
  4. Sales (service items): Information about sales of service items, including the descriptions of the services provided, the prices charged, and the dates of the sales
  5. Purchase (product items): Information about purchases of product items, including the quantities purchased, the prices paid, and the dates of the purchases
  6. Purchase (service items): Information about purchases of service items, including the descriptions of the services provided, the prices paid, and the dates of the purchases

This data transfer can be useful for keeping track of your business transactions and analysing your sales and purchasing patterns. It can also help track your income and expenses and prepare financial reports.


Data That You Cannot Export From myBillBook

You cannot export certain types of data from myBillBook to Tally. These include:

Items: Information about the products or services you sell or purchase, such as their names, descriptions, and prices.

  1. Deleted items: Information about items that have been deleted from your account
  2. Additional item columns: Any additional columns of information that you have added to your item records
  3. Current item quantity: The current quantities of each item in your inventory
  4. Batch: Information about the batches that items belong to
  5. Wholesale price and quantity: Information about the wholesale prices and quantities
  6. Item images: Images of the items you sell or purchase
  7. Item MRP: The maximum retail prices of items

 

Vouchers:  Records of sales or purchases, including the quantities, prices, and dates of the transactions.

  1. Sales return, purchase return, CN, DN: Records of returned sales or purchases, credit notes, or debit notes
  2. Payment, cash & bank voucher and expense: Information about payments, cash and bank vouchers, and expenses
  3. Quotation, delivery challan, proforma invoice, purchase order: Quotations, delivery challans, proforma invoices, and purchase orders
  4. Deleted vouchers: Vouchers that have been deleted from your account
  5. Additional invoice fields: Any additional fields that you have added to your invoice records
  6. Received/paid amount: The amounts you receive or pay for sales or purchases
  7. Linked payments: Information about payments linked to specific sales or purchases
  8. Bank details: Information about your bank accounts
  9. Terms & Conditions: The terms and conditions of your sales or purchases

 

Parties: Information about the people or companies you work with, such as their contact details and billing information

  1. Deleted parties: Information about parties that have been deleted from your account
  2. Custom party fields: Any additional fields you have added to your party records
  3. Multiple shipping addresses: Multiple shipping addresses for parties

Rate Limit: Please note that there is a rate limit of 5 processed requests in 10 minutes from the same company. Therefore, you can only export data from myBillBook to Tally 5 times in 10 minutes.
