It is similar in format to a <a href=\"https:\/\/mybillbook.in\/blog\/gstin\/\">GSTIN<\/a> and allows businesses to assign e-Way Bills to the transporter for updating transportation details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transporter ID Example<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">A Transporter ID contains 15 characters and follows a format similar to a GSTIN.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Example:<\/strong> 29BQSPA3829E1Z0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Check or Search a Transporter ID<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Transporter ID or TRANSIN can be verified through the e-Way Bill system when assigning or updating a transporter. Entering a valid 15-digit GSTIN or TRANSIN allows the e-Way Bill system to identify the transporter associated with the ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you already know the transporter, ask them for their registered GSTIN or TRANSIN before generating the e-Way Bill. After enrolling on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mybillbook.in\/s\/e-way-bill\/eway-bill-login-portal\/\">e-way bill portal<\/a>, you can expect the following results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A unique transporter ID or TRANSIN is given to the transporter.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A unique username to access the e-Way Bill interface.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Here is how GST unregistered transporters can enrol on the e-Way Bill platform:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Step 1:<\/strong>&nbsp;Visit the e-Way Bill website.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 2:&nbsp;<\/strong>On the Home page, select the Registration option and \u201cEnrolment for transporters.\u201d<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter the information in the application at points 1 \u2013 9, then click \u201cSave.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>The fields with an asterisk (*) in red are required fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Step 4:<\/strong>&nbsp;Choose Your State, enter PAN card and click validate. Also, enter a trade name, if any.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 5:<\/strong>&nbsp;Select the appropriate enrollment type from the list: transport service, cold storage, warehouse, or godown.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 6:<\/strong>&nbsp;From the drop-down menu, choose the appropriate business structure: foreign company, partnership firm, proprietorship, private limited company, public limited company, unlimited company, or others (If HUF, AOP, BOI and so on).<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 7:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter the full address into all fields marked with a red asterisk (*).<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 8:<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter the fax (if any), landline, and email addresses in the appropriate fields.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 9:<\/strong>&nbsp;Choose whether the address at a) is a building owned, leased, rented, consented to, shared or any other circumstance.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 10:<\/strong>&nbsp;To authorise the e-Way Bill System\/GSTN to retrieve the Aadhaar information of the authorised employees of the organisation from UIDAI for authentication, check the box on the left-hand side of the form.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 11:<\/strong>&nbsp;Then, click \u201cUpload\u201d after choosing two acceptable PDF documents from your computer (one for ID evidence and one for address proof). If a file is not uploaded successfully, the system displays an error message, edits the file as necessary, and then retries the upload. The file name should show up on the right side of each field if it were successfully uploaded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Step 12:<\/strong>&nbsp;Create a new password and username that are unique. Click \u201cCheck\u201d to see if the username you want to set is already in use or not.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Step 13:<\/strong>&nbsp;Ensure the information you provide is accurate by checking the declaration, then click \u201cSave.\u201d<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Step 14:<\/strong>&nbsp;The system generates and displays a 15-digit transporter ID or TRANSIN. Notify your clients of this number.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2><mark>Where to Enter<\/mark> Transporter ID in an e-Way Bill<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">While generating an e-Way Bill, enter the transporter&#8217;s 15-digit GSTIN or TRANSIN in the <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Transporter ID<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> field under the transportation details. Once assigned, the transporter can log in and update the relevant Part B transportation details.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<h2>What Happens If the Mode of Transport Changes?<\/h2>\n<p>An e-Way Bill can be used even when goods move through different modes of transport, such as road, rail, air or ship. A new e-Way Bill does not need to be generated simply because the mode of transport changes.<\/p>\n<p>The transporter or e-Way Bill generator should update <strong>Part B<\/strong> with the latest mode of transport, vehicle number or relevant transport document details using the <strong>Update Vehicle Number\/Mode of Transport<\/strong> option on the e-Way Bill portal.<\/p>\n<p>The transportation details shown in the e-Way Bill should always match the mode or conveyance currently being used to move the goods.<\/p>\n<p>If the vehicle changes due to trans-shipment or breakdown, the new vehicle details should similarly be updated in Part B within the validity period of the existing e-Way Bill.<\/p>\n<h2 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">How to Change Transporter ID in an e-Way Bill<\/h2>\n<p>You can update the transporter assigned to an active e-Way Bill through the e-Way Bill portal.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Log in to the e-Way Bill portal.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>e-Waybill \u2192 Update EWB Transporter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the relevant e-Way Bill number.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the new transporter\u2019s <strong>GSTIN or TRANSIN<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Verify the transporter details displayed by the system.<\/li>\n<li>Submit the updated transporter information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The transporter can be changed only while the e-Way Bill is active and subject to the applicable e-Way Bill rules and validity conditions.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Multiple_Invoices_under_Transport_ID\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Multiple Invoices under Transport ID<\/h2>\n<p>When an unnotified e-Way Bill is generated against a Transport ID, the e-way bill portal acts as a connected system, and the transporter is notified about the assignment of EWB via the portal.<\/p>\n<p>Using one of the following techniques, a transporter can obtain e-Way Bills created on a transport ID:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After logging in, the transporter checks the reports area in the EWB portal and chooses \u201cEWB assigned to me for transfers and sees the list.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The transporter could access \u201cUpdate Vehicle No\u201d and choose \u201cGenerator GSTIN\u201d before entering the GSTIN of the taxpayer who gave him the EWB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Creating_Multiple_Sub-users_under_Transport_ID\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Creating Multiple Sub-users under Transport ID<\/h2>\n<p>Every registered supplier or transporter can create several sub-users and assign them duties. The person can offer additional offices or business locations as sub-users for large transporters.
