In fact, \u201cGST emSigner error\u201d is one of the most searched keywords on Google in recent times.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, what is this problem, and how can you solve it? You will get an error message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u2018Advanced\u2019 on the error screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will get two options\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go back to safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accept the risk and continue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u2018Accept the Risk and Continue\u2019 and wait for 15 seconds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close the tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you don\u2019t get the error screen, press Ctrl+Shift+Del on your keyboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u2018Appropriate Site Preference\u2019 and then \u2018Clear Now\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the URL https:\/\/127.0.0.1:1585 again in the address bar and try the steps again<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you still do not get the error screen and see the same \u2018Failed to establish the connection to the server. Restart the Emsigner\u2019 error, open the \u2018Privacy and Security\u2019 tab in \u2018Options\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the selection from the box in front of \u2018Block dangerous and deceptive content\u2019 and try again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Following these steps on Mozilla Firefox will help you address the DSC error or GST emSigner error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adinserter block=&#8221;3&#8243;]<br>[adinserter block=&#8221;4&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Register DSC?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your emSigner is running well, you can follow these steps to register or update your DSC. You must, however, make sure that your DSC is linked to your PAN card because Aadhar-linked DSC doesn\u2019t work for GST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the Goods and Services Tax (GST) website https:\/\/www.gst.gov.in&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the upper right of the screen, click on the arrow beside your profile name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u2018Register\/Update DSC\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be directed to another page asking for the PAN of the Authorized Signatory. You will have to enter a person as an authorised signatory in your GST registration to have them on your list<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the proper name and check the box next to \u2018I have downloaded and installed the signer\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u2018Proceed\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your name on the table that appears and click on \u2018Sign\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolving the https:\/\/127.0.0.1:1585 Error<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have already installed the emSigner, updated the Java version, installed your DSC stick, and are yet getting the https:\/\/127.0.0.1:1585 error, proceed with the following steps. If you have not installed and updated them, follow the steps given above to install them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plugin the DSC stick in your computer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure the emSigner is running by right-clicking on the bottom right of your desktop screen and selecting \u2018Show Hidden Icons.\u2019 If the emSigner icon is present, it means it is running<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open your browser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write https:\/\/127.0.0.1:1585 in the address bar and press Enter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the Advanced tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u2018Proceed to 127.0.0.1(unsafe)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait for 15 seconds and retry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you do not get a warning screen, press Ctrl+Shift+Del to clear site preferences and retry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These steps work on Google Chrome perfectly. Make sure you enter the address https:127.0.0.1:1585 correctly in the address bar. Remember to uninstall the previously installed emSigner before installing the latest version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Installation When DSC Error Occurs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/DBQZlleoTMeRA3zS78CHfp9wppXqrewk9bs__RGHz6bU5jE6XOiY66ibARA1xsqvhQ4YwLZACUO_IGMAci9z-K1m0NAQAH1QWAZIMAAd48vu1BQE32Mt7pR_UrhdsmJjFXVQ51Vm\" alt=\"emsigner digital signature certificate missing\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you get the \u201cSorry! Digital Signature Certificate Missing. Please plugin the token &amp; click on process to proceed with signing\u201d when you are uploading your DSCs, you will need to follow the steps mentioned below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will see this error if you are using a DSC stick for the first time on your computer. You will need a setup for a DSC pen drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plugin the DSC stick into your computer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open My Computer \ud83e\udc6a Double click on the drive letter with inserted DSC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open setup file (the .exe file other than the autorun.exe file)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run setup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the Choose CSP option as \u2018Private CSP\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will get a message asking \u201cDo you want to install this certificate?\u201d Click Yes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to follow these instructions to check your DSC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Internet Explorer&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to \u2018Internet Options\u2019 and select the Content tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the \u2018Certificates\u2019 button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your DSC and click \u2018View\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the Details tab of your DSC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down to \u2018Key Usage\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your DSC should say \u201cDigital Signature, Non-Repudiation.\u201d If it says \u201cKey Encipherment,\u201d remove the DSC from the Windows store<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solving the \u2018Unable to Connect\u2019 Error<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you get the error \u201cUnable to connect to the installed EMSigner. Please close any other application running on the following ports 1585, 2095, 2568, 2868, 4587 and restart your system, and try again,\u201d it means there is no port for the emSigner to connect. Freeing a port can make it run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;To check which applications are using the above ports, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Uninstall the emSigner software and reinstall it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check if it is running. Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling solves the problem.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If not, go to the Start Menu \ud83e\udc6a All Programs \ud83e\udc6a Accessories \ud83e\udc6a System Tools \ud83e\udc6a Resource Monitor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the Network tab and select Listening Port<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will get a list of applications running and the ports engaged<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check if 1585 is on the list<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it is in the list, check the file name or note the application\u2019s PID number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the file name or PID number in the Overview tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right-click on the file name and click End Process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install or restart the emSigner and try again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>[adinserter block=&#8221;3&#8243;]<br>[adinserter block=&#8221;4&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solving WebSocket Error in Mozilla Firefox<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While other internet browsers add exceptions automatically, Mozilla Firefox needs manual intervention in adding the root certificate.
